"We improve our well being when we learn to fully use ourselves. Our intelligence depends upon the opportunity we take to experience and learn on our own. This self learning leads to full, dynamic living."

Tao is the Natural Way of healing and enlightenment. Taoism (Daoism) is an ancient Chinese teaching of chi kung(qigong), the “mother of tai chi”. The medical effectiveness of chi (“qi”) healing has been documented by thousands of modern scientific studies. We supercharge chi kung by combining it with the simple but profound process of inner alchemy meditation.

Healing Tao University
and Healing Tao USA

Healing Tao USA advocates using the spiritual sciences of the Tao for managing the Life Force known in ancient China as 1) chi kung (or qigong, which also includes tai chi chuan, ba gua chuan, and sacred dance) and 2) nei kung (or neigong, which includes inner alchemy and other forms of meditation)

The ability to tune in and tune out at will to the sounds around us, is a fundamental human skill. Whether language, communication skills, attention, self-regulation, reading, writing, speaking, singing or acting – all depend on "fit" listening. Our well being, energy level, motivation and ability to relate to others are also closely connected to our listening ability.

National Qigong (Chi Kung) Association*USA

The NQA is a non profit organization dedicated to integrating Qigong into all facets of our culture. We are a professional organization of almost 600 members as well as a community of qigong enthusiast with all levels of experience.

Somatic Experiencing

'Somatic Experiencing®'' (SE) is a short-term naturalistic approach to the resolution and healing of trauma developed by Dr. Peter Levine. It is based upon the observation that wild prey animals, though threatened routinely, are rarely traumatized. Animals in the wild utilize innate mechanisms to regulate and discharge the high levels of energy arousal associated with defensive survival behaviors. These mechanisms provide animals with a built-in ''immunity'' to trauma that enables them to return to normal in the aftermath of highly ''charged'' life-threatening experiences.

"The Alexander Technique is a method that works to change (movement) habits in our everyday activities. It is a simple and practical method for improving ease and freedom of movement, balance, support and coordination. The technique teaches the use of the appropriate amount of effort for a particular activity, giving you more energy for all your activities. It is not a series of treatments or exercises, but rather a reeducation of the mind and body. The Alexander Technique is a method which helps a person discover a new balance in the body by releasing unnecessary tension. It can be applied to sitting, lying down, standing, walking, lifting, and other daily activities..."

“In exploring the shared language and poetic sensibilities of all animals, I am working towards rediscovering the common ground that once existed when people lived in harmony with animals. The images depict a world that is without beginning or end, here or there, past or present.”
